Say hello to Kerry Hughes. She’s an ethnobotanist, herbalist, author, and has acted as a consultant to the United Nations through the International Trade Centre. She has over 20 years of experience in natural product development and excels at the nexus of market opportunity identification, innovation product formulation and global natural product ingredient development. Kerry is driven by a tenacious fascination with the role that plants can play in not only supporting one’s health, but also protecting our threatened global biodiversity.*

She was drawn to the concept of bringing together a daily ritual, such as drinking coffee and tea, and combining it with herb extracts to create tasty, supplement infusions. Good Pharma truly has created a powerful way to bring ancient herbs into modern life. As an ethnobotanist, Kerry has made it a life-long commitment to help connect plants and people, and to support the planet and people, and (thankfully for us!) the concept behind Good Pharma felt perfectly aligned.
We’re pleased to introduce you to Dr. Choi. Dr. Choi is an expert and international leader in Traditional East Asian Medicine. He is a firm believer in a multidimensional approach to medicine, with traditional practices and modern science complementing one another. Dr. Choi was appointed as Regional Adviser in Traditional Medicine at the World Health Organization Regional Office for the Western Pacific and spent the majority of his tenure focused on the standardization of traditional medicine.

Having studied in Korea and now working in the United States, Dr. Choi sees Good Pharma, and the idea of “herbal extracts in your tea or coffee cup,” as an exciting method of bringing the two worlds together and into modern life.
Dr. Choi and Kerry bring decades of knowledge and experience to the Good Pharma Scientific Advisory Board. With their support, Good Pharma is set to launch our first products––tea and coffee infusion supplements–– in February of 2021.
